HDP Ribbons and HDP Film: High Definition Printing (HDP) ribbons and HDP Film combine to produce durable and tamper resistant cards with crisp 600 dpi or 300 dpi images – even on the surface of technology cards. High Durable HDP Film option offers enhanced abrasion resistance for longer life cards.

Features:
- They are compatible with various models of HID FARGO HDP printers, such as HDP5000, HDPii Plus, and HDP6600.
- They offer different color options, such as YMCK (full-color), YMCKK (full-color with two black panels), YMCKH (full-color with heat seal panel), and monochrome (single-color).
- They have a high print yield, ranging from 500 to 1500 cards per ribbon, depending on the model and color.
- They use a retransfer printing process that involves printing the image on a clear HDP film and then transferring it to the card surface. These results in crisp 600 dpi or 300 dpi images that cover the entire card edge and can be printed over embedded technologies.
- They can be used with optional thermal transfer or PolyGuard over laminates that provide additional protection and security for the printed cards. PolyGuard LMX over laminates is designed exclusively for the HDP6600 and DTC5500LMX and can lower consumables costs by up to 40%.
